Annette Hillers-Chen, Dipl.-Psych., Ph.D. (Heidelberg University, Germany), is an Associate Professor at the Department of Psychology and Behavioral Sciences at Zhejiang University, P.R. China and a Gestalt therapist (EAGT) trained by the Institute for Integrative Gestalt Therapy, Wuerzburg (IGW), where she acts as the current research representative. She helped establish the cooperation between IGW and Nanjing University to train Gestalt therapists in China and hopes to extend this program to Hangzhou. Her research focus lies on acculturation experiences in China and more and more on the question how to do meaningful Gestalt therapy research (incl. questions of translation). She has been living in China for 17 years, is married to a Chinese husband and has two Chinese-German German-Chinese children.
